Speaking engagements are considered confirmed once a written agreement is signed and the initial deposit is received.
Dates will not be held without both a signed agreement and deposit.
A non-refundable deposit of 50% is required to secure your event date.
The remaining balance is due 10 days before the event, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Payment can be made via bank transfer, PayPal, or Zelle.
For events outside of South Florida, client agrees to cover all reasonable travel expenses, including flights, ground transportation, meals, and accommodations. Travel arrangements will be discussed and approved in advance.
Client is responsible for providing the necessary audio/visual equipment (microphone, projector, screen, etc.) unless otherwise arranged.
Client agrees to provide a safe and respectful environment for the event.
If the client cancels the event:
• More than 30 days before the event: client forfeits deposit only.
• Less than 30 days before the event: full speaking fee is due.
If the event must be rescheduled, the deposit may be applied to a new date (subject to availability) within 6 months.
Audio and video recording of the presentation requires prior written consent.
Client may use photographs or short video clips (under 2 minutes) for promotional purposes only, with credit given.
Speaker reserves the right to use event photos or recordings for personal marketing unless otherwise agreed.
Speaker is not liable for delays, cancellations, or non-performance due to circumstances beyond control (illness, natural disasters, travel disruptions, etc.). In such cases, best efforts will be made to reschedule the event.
Presentation content, slides, and materials remain the intellectual property of Laura Chihaia. Materials may not be reproduced, distributed, or used for training purposes without written consent.
